A man sent a message to a single mom asking her if she would be willing to put her children up for adoption so they could continue dating without her kids.

A screenshot of the message was then posted on Reddit where it has gained thousands of views and also heartbreaking comments revealing similar experiences.

“Would you be willing to put your children up for adoption?” the message read.

The message continued: “I want to date someone without kids, so looking for someone who is willing to free themselves of their current kids.”

Many were quick to share their own stories, with one person revealing: “My mother-in-law was friends with a lady who actually did this back in the 90’s. Her son and his son would fight (they were little kids.) so she gave him up.

“My MIL stopped being her friend when she did that. Effed up. People who give up their kids for partners are f–ked.”

Another said that they stopped talking to a friend who gave up their children for a partner.

“I actually know someone that did this as well. Abandoned her young child and intentionally got pregnant with her convict boyfriend that already had a wife,” the Reddit user said. “We all cut her off.”

Another claimed that their own mother gave them up for a man.

“My mom gave my grandparents custody because the guy she was dating at the time told her he didn’t want to be with someone with kids. This happens all the time. Men like this really exist and women are out there who give up custody for those men.”
