As she accepted an award during the CDGA Awards in Los Angeles, the 77-year-old actress joked: “Time has a way of smoothing everything out. I’ve been at it for close to 60 years… and I do look fabulous, I know.”

“I’ve had some tailoring done on my face,” she added.

Many fans have speculated whether Midler has gone under the knife, but reports said that this is the first time the actress has publicly addressed the issues.

Despite keeping her mouth sealed about the rumors, she said in a 2008 interview with Extra that she ‘’considered’ getting plastic surgery.

“Doesn’t everybody consider it? When it really starts to cave in, I probably will start to give it a real good think,” she said at the time.

“I am really good about my regime. I am really disciplined. I don’t keep strange hours and I don’t drink a lot and I don’t smoke,” Midler added.

The costume gala was also attended by Midler’s fellow movie stars Angela Bassett, Cate Blanchett and Christina Ricci.

According to PEOPLE, Midler was praised her daughter Sophie von Haselberg’s new movie role.

When asked whether she gave her an advice when she first became an actress, she replied: “No, I didn’t give her any advice, but I have to say she was in this movie.

“It just opened, called ‘Give Me Pity!’ and she plays a ‘70s performer who’s doing a special – you remember the specials?”

“And she’s wearing clothes that I would’ve worn,” she expressed. “I just said, ‘Sophie, can I have that wardrobe?’ It was great.”
