Austin Butler has stolen the spotlight after he jumped onto the stage at the Screen Actors Guild Awards to help Sally Fields.
On Sunday, the 76-year-old acting veteran receive her Lifetime Achievement award, which was presented by Andrew Garfield.
Garfield called the Academy Award winner a ‘North star’ and urged ‘people under 30’ to watch her first TV series, Gidget.
Garfield also commended Field for playing complex women during the early times of her career.
“You never drink the Kool-Aid of your own brilliance,” he said. “You never get high on your own supply. But tonight we’re going to try to make you.”
The award show celebrated Field’s career, with a montage showing a ‘small slice, that is the genius’ of her greatest hits.
But it seems Butler managed to steal the moment from Fields when he suddenly jumped to help her onto the stage.
He also didn’t think twice when he helped White Lotus star Jennifer Coolidge up to the podium.
Internet users were quick to praise Butler, with many saying he acted like a real gentleman.
One Twitter user wrote: “This was my favorite moment of the night. I wish someone would interview Austin and ask him what the legend who is Sally Field said to him. They were practically having a conversation! Congrats, Sally! And to Austin, you are a true gentleman.”
Another tweeted: “Austin Butler escorting Sally Field to the stage was adorable!! […] ppl will get salty over anything.”
A third added: “Can we talk about the gentleman greatness that was Austin Butler and Andrew Garfield escorting and taking care of Sally Field last night? YEAH!”
Someone else added: “What a true gentleman. Also let’s give some love to Andrew Garfield as well.”
