An angry woman aired her cheating partner’s dirty laundry in a brutal newspaper ad for the whole town to see.
But the woman, only known as Jenny, didn’t expect to get an apology.
Calling her husband or boyfriend a ‘filthy cheater’ in the premium advert, Jenny added more salt to the wound with the ad’s final sign-off.
The shocking yet hilarious ad is written with capital letters and bold black text.
It reads: “Dear Steve. I hope you’re happy with her. Now the whole town will know what a filthy cheater you are. From Jenny.
“P.S. I bought this ad using your credit card.”
The furious woman also tried to pay $2,000 AUD to make sure that Steve will regret his actions. But the revenge was not only sweet as the newspaper later revealed that no transaction has been made.
According to the newspaper: “Jenny booked the ad through our newspaper’s online portal and it was published in this Friday’s edition.”
After Jenny’s add went viral on social media, the Queensland newspaper became flooded with questions on how Jenny paid for it.
“When payment for the ad was due to be processed it was noticed that the name on the credit card was different to the name on the booking so no payment was taken for the ad,” it explained.
The ad has since gained international attention, with the editors saying: “We do NOT know who Steve is, but apparently he’s been very very bad.”
Many readers have also commended the woman for her hilarious expose, with one Facebook user writing: “Jenny sounds like someone I want to be friends with.”
Another wrote: “Not all heroines wear capes. Jenny is my new favorite person.”
The Highway Hotel also found the funny side of the ad so they have decided to share a hilarious response on their roadside sign.
It reads: “Dear Jenny. I’m sorry. From all the Steves.”
