An angry husband left people baffled and shocked after he lost his temper and smashed a beauty pageant winner’s crown because his wife came in second place.
The incident in Brazil saw a number of contestants fighting to take home the crown but it was no longer possible after the furious man manage to grab and destroy it.
In the video obtained by TMZ, Nathally Becker – who came in second – can be seen reaching out to embrace the winner of the country’s Miss Gay Mato Grosso 2023.
But Becker’s enraged husband stormed to the stage, snatched the crown away and threw it hard to the floor.
Audience members, even his wife, were shocked by his actions but he went on to pull Becker with him while others tried to take him away from the stage.
Before leaving, the man returned and picked up the crown before smashing it again, sending thousands of pieces flying in different directions.
The clip quickly went viral on social media where viewers flocked to the comments section to share their thoughts on the video.
One person commented: “How hard I’m going for my wife when I have one.”
Another wrote: “He said if my wife can’t win, no one can.”
A third added: “Bro a real rider but it ain’t that serious.”
Pageant organizers took to Instagram and released a statement condemning the incident.
“We vehemently condemn the incident that occurred at the time of the crowning of the elected Miss, when the partner of Miss Cuiabá…invaded the stage and aggressively destroyed the crown,” pageant officials wrote.
“We would like to inform you that the legal team for our contest has been contacted and will take the appropriate legal measures,” they continued.
“We sympathize with the elected Miss, as well as with the Miss who was in second place, since she is not responsible for…attitudes of third parties.”
