The Duke of Sussex was left furious and ‘snubbed’ King Charles and his brother Prince William after the new monarch banned the Duchess of Sussex from joining the grieving Royal Family at Balmoral Castle, sources claimed.
According to reports, Prince Harry wanted Meghan to join him as members of the Royal Family rushed to Balmoral to say their final farewell.
But the King called Harry and told him that it was ‘not appropriate’ for the Duchess to join them.
Harry reportedly tried to persuade his father to let Meghan come with him to the Scottish estate but because of the row, he missed the flight carrying the Prince of Wales and their uncles Edward and Andrew to Scotland, it is claimed.
The Duke of Sussex was so furious that he had missed the flight as well as the chance to say final goodbye to his grandmother that he refused to have dinner that evening with his father and brother.
Instead, Harry ate dinner with the Duke of York and the Earl and Countess of Wessex.
“Harry was so busy trying to get Meghan to Balmoral and rowing with his family that he missed the flight,” a source said as per The Sun.
“Charles has an open invitation for Harry to dine with him whenever he is in the country. But Harry was so furious that he refused to eat with his father and brother.
“It was a massive snub. And he got out of Balmoral at the earliest opportunity to catch the first commercial flight back to London.”
The following day, Harry was the first one to leave the Scottish estate and flew back to Meghan at 8:28 am.
