A woman has shared how she was banned from the wedding of her close friend because the bride realized that she ‘looked too good’ in a gown she picked out for her.
Alena from Heidelberg, Germany, said that the bride-to-be chose a dress for her to wear to the event.
But after seeing Alena, the bride got scared that the model might steal the spotlight and told her she was no longer invited.
Taking to TikTok, Alena shared photos of her wearing the dress and wrote: “My close friend uninvited me to her wedding because she thought I looked too good in the dress SHE chose for me.
“Still took some fire pics in it tho…”
Alena also said in the comments section that she ‘couldn’t understand’ why the bride had a problem with appearance, adding that the wedding day should be about ‘valuing people.’
Her post went viral and has been viewed more than five million times, with one person writing: “Really upsets me. Women should empower each other and we are all beautiful in our own way.”
Another wrote: “As your friend, she should want you to look beautiful. If she was secure and confident, she wouldn’t feel intimidated at her own wedding. So sad.”
A third joked: “I mean, she’s kind of right. You can’t come like that to my wedding and expect me not to run away with you. Like, at that point I’m marrying you.”
Someone else added: “You should cut the bride off honestly. She clearly isn’t a real friend. I wouldn’t doubt if she’s been a jealous, undercover hater for a while now.”
