Some things out there are just too freaky and weird, the good thing about it is that as we go hunting for answers for some of the weird things we have encountered the cooler they are.
Science comes in to answer questions about some bizarre, and hard to explain phenomena in our world.
Science has a lot of explaining to do on some of nature’s weirdest things we are about to see below.
1. Ever investigated the weird spikes inside a deer’s mouth? Its mouth is not as velvety smooth as most people would expect.
The spike looking features are known as oral papillae made from the same stuff that make up your nails and hair (keratin). They line the animal’s cheeks and assist them in chewing food. This feature is also present in other animals such as cattle, moose, and camels.
2. The first 3D printed titanium lower jaw was implanted by surgeons in an 83-year-old woman in 2012.
One of the surgeons said, “The surgery time decreases because the implants perfectly fit the patients and hospitalization time also lowers — all reducing medical costs.” The woman was home from the hospital after just four days.
3. This is what occurs when you pass electricity through an acrylic cube.
It shows some really incredible Lichtenberg figures running through it and makes a flashy paperweight.
4. These bowl of colorful pebbles are planted!
These South African native plants have camouflage! The Lithops have evolved to resemble stones or pebbles so grazing animals would overlook them.
5. Dye is sometimes used by optometrists to check your eyes for cornea damage.
When active, the dye makes the eye glow when placed under black light. This is something picture worthy.
6. Check out this Petri dish that was cultured in a bathroom hand dryer after three minutes.
At first sight, it looks dreadful, but it actually isn’t so bad. Images show some mold and spores which are quite common in such places.
7. This is how snail Shells look like at a microscopic level!
8. This crater in the aluminium block is as a result of half an ounce of plastic.
The block was hit by the plastic that happened to be traveling at 15,000 mph in a simulation of a space-based impact.
9. Some of the largest ice crystals were found on a cold day in Switzerland.
The hopper-shaped, hexagonal rings show the molecular structure of ice crystals extraordinarily well here.
10. You definitely won’t be seeing this transparent fish on a daily occurrence- Being transparent has something to do with it!
Sea salps are very rare and usually travel in large groups. They are completely docile and don’t bite or sting though they have been known to clog up intake pipes.
11. The Canadian currency has this amazingly cool effect as an anti-counterfeit measure being added to its bills.
If maple leaf within the bill contains a diffraction grating that if a laser shines through it, you’ll see the denomination reflected.
12. The Krubera Cave is the deepest pit in the world. The cave is found in the country of Georgia.
The Big Cascade is the deepest drop stretching to 500 feet down. It’s amazing that the Big Cascade is not even a tenth of the distance to the bottom of the entire cave.
13. A pretty eye-catching light display!
Some 1,218 drones were used to make a display of the Olympic rings at the opening of this year’s Pyeongchang Winter Games hosted in South Korea. Truly, drones are the future!
14. X-ray shows some uncomfortable revelation.

15. Evidence that it’s not the best idea to share needles. Red blood cells can’t hide from an electron microscope!
