Researchers Claimed That The Oldest Ever Woman Who Died At 122 Was Actually A Fraud


How will you feel that someone you know, who is very old and living a life with a name and later you find out that the person is not herself but her daughter?

As confusing as it sounds, it is also extremely bizarre to even think of such a situation but this seems to be a true story according to a few researchers in Russia.

The woman who lived 122 years and 164 days and left the world in 1997 has been dubbed the woman to live the longest life. She has her name in the Guinness Books of World Records with the same claim. But it looks like this was a fraud all this time.

The researchers have been claiming that Jeanne Calment, a French woman who holds the record of being the oldest person in history, was a fraud all along.

The researchers have been claiming that the woman who lived so long was not Jeanne Calment but it was her daughter Yvonne Calment.

No one knows for sure why she would do it but the researchers suggest that she did it to save herself from paying a large amount of tax on the inheritance she was supposed to receive after her mother died.

Nikolai Zak, who is a mathematician and gerontologist, said that they have found evidence so closely related to the circumstances that surely indicates that the woman was a fraud.

Yvonne Calment, the daughter died in 1934 in the official records due to a lung infection. But Mr. Zak claims that the woman that died was not Yvonne but her mother Jeanne Calment who was 59 years old then. The daughter then took her mother’s id to carry on with her life.

Mr. Zak has a copy of Jeanne’s id card according to which, her hair color, eye color, and her height all changed. He also said that most of the pictures of the two women were discarded and burned down so that no proofs are left. Only a very few pictures were available to them.

The mayor of Arles, the place where the oldest French woman lived said that all the acquisitions being made are just not true and that the woman was herself.

The doctors even said that they had doubts about the woman’s age because her muscles were not like those of other people her age. She was stronger and fitter. She also never had any problem with dementia which made them all think.
