Two Virginia officers were arrested and charged after storming the US Capitol, taking selfies inside the building, and bragging about their actions on social media.
Jacob Fracker and Thomas Robertson from Virginia have been charged with violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds and knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building without permission.
The two Rocky Mount Police Department officers bragged about their actions on Facebook where they shared a photo of themselves posing in front of the John Stark statue.
“CNN and the Left are just mad because we actually attacked the government who is the problem and not some random small business. The right IN ONE DAY took the f***ing U.S. Capitol. Keep poking us,” Robertson allegedly wrote in one of his Facebook posts.
In another post, the Army veteran said he was “fu***** PROUD” of what he did as he claimed he stood up for his rights.
“If you are too much of a coward to risk arrest, being fired, and actual gunfire to secure your rights, you have no words to speak I value,” Robertson wrote.
“Enjoy your feel good protests and fame. I’ll simply accept a ‘Thank you’ for the very blanket of freedom that you live and sleep under.”
Meanwhile, his colleague, Jacob Fracker, insisted he fought for freedom in a now-deleted FB post.
“Lol to anyone who’s possibly concerned about the picture of me going around… Sorry I hate freedom? Sorry I fought hard for it and lost friends for it? Not like I did anything illegal, WAY too much to lose to go there but, y’all do what you feel you need to lol,” the officer wrote.
“I can protest for what I believe in and still support your protest for what you believe in. Just saying… after all, I fought for the right to do it…”
Following the Wednesday insurrection, Robertson opened up about the events in an interview with The Roanoke Times and insisted that he and his friend didn’t do anything illegal during their trip to Washington, DC.
“We were escorted in by the Capitol Police, shown around and told, ‘As long as you stay here, you’re fine,’” he claimed.
“The Capitol building is as big as our town. Where I was at there was no violence. There was no fighting with police officers. The door was wide open and police officers were actually handing bottles of water out to people that came in.”
The disgraced officer also insisted that he doesn’t support violence and that it was “absolutely ridiculous” how things turned out.
“There was absolutely no indication that we were anything but welcome to check out certain places. We did not participate in any violence or property damage,” the veteran told ABC13.
Following the Wednesday riot, the Town of Rocky Mount confirmed that the two officers “were charged by federal authorities with misdemeanors stemming from their presence at an event in Washington, DC on January 6, 2021.”
“The Town’s review of this matter is ongoing and the officers remain on administrative leave,” the officials said.
