Police are currently searching for the suspects that have jumped on top of a police car in St Louis that had rolled up in order to break up a party scene.

The mob had climbed up on top of the police vehicle and tried to open the door up, and as they did that, the police inside tried to call for backup.

This happened last Sunday morning, and the police officials have revealed footage of what occurred. There is a video where the angle catches rioters dancing on top of their car, stomping on the windshield which endangered the cops that were inside.

Another angle is posted on Twitter, revealing the same four to six people jumping on the police car while bystanders cheer them on for their actions. Thankfully, no one has been injured from the incident.

There had been shots fired in the area on the same night, but are not related to the incident. Law enforcement officials are searching for people who had escaped when backup arrived to the scene, asking for people with information related to the incident to step forward in order to help their investigation.

Police say that the mob had hopped onto the car as they broke up the large party that was taking place on the rooftop of an apartment building, receiving at least 13 calls to break up the big party.

Hundreds of people had been broken up, but this did not step them from interfering with their job. They had jumped on top of the police car, and a police had called for back up once someone tried to open the passenger door. More cops arrived to the scene, causing citizens to scatter.

There was “substantial” damage to the car, and they are trying to identify those on camera at the moment. The mayor of St. Louis had seen the video spread due to social media platforms including Twitter, releasing a statement about the incident last Monday.

Mayor Tishaura Jones states, “Our office has reviewed the video of people jumping on our patrol cars this weekend. While I’m thankful the SLMPD responded quickly and dispersed the crowd without conflict or injury, I’m disappointed in those people who will now have to face consequences for their behavior.”
