A police officer found a tampon in his Starbucks Frappuccino ‘after drinking half of it’ in what police unions are calling a ‘disgusting’ attack on a cop.
The LAPD cop was off-duty but used his police credit union credit card to purchase a Starbucks Frappuccino, the Fox reported.
According to reports, the cop had bought the drink in a Starbucks inside a Target in LA. But after drinking half of it, the LAPD officer found a tampon.
The cop returned to the store and complained. The Los Angeles Sherriff’s Department is also investigating the incident.
“Walnut Station Detectives are investigating an incident of alleged poisoning of food or drink at a local business. The incident was reported to have occurred Friday, June 19, 2020 at approximately 2:30 p.m., on the 700 block of Grand Avenue in the city of Diamond Bar,” the sheriff’s department said.
“The victim was a male White 36 years-old. This is an ongoing investigation.
“No further information is available at this time.”
The LA Police Protective League also said the incident was a “disgusting assault on a police officer carried out by someone with hatred in their heart.”
The League added: “We hope they are publicly exposed, fired, arrested, and prosecuted for their cowardly and repugnant actions.”
One internet user commented: “If this is true, it’s disgusting. It should be very easy to find the employee since it was at a Target location and they don’t have many baristas at those locations. Just rewind the footage.”
Another wrote: “Did this really happen? Recently three cops accused employees of a Shake n Shack of poisoning their milkshake only to discover that nothing happened. That the small amount of bleach they tasted was from cleaning the machine.”
A third said: “Stopped going to Starbucks after they got super woke with the free bathrooms for loiterers.”
