Officer Saw A Boy Crying and Running on the Sidewalk and Instantly Knew He Had to Help Him


Heroism does not take a lot of you.

Sometimes it is as little as smiling at someone who is having a horrible day. All you have to do is be good to others because this world is already filled with hopeless people and terrible life situations to make life a very difficult place.

For young kids, school is the only place they love to go because they can play, be with their friends, and have a time they really enjoy.

When Austin Lynema, a young 22 years old officer was on his duty he had no idea he would do something so great for someone and will win his heart.

On February 22 when on duty he was strolling through the neighborhood of Grand Rapids he saw a 9 years old, young boy crying and running on the sidewalk.

The skills of noticing everything that a cop has, made Austin realize that the little boy was running after a school bus that was probably his. He could not keep himself from going to the kid and asked him what happened and if there is something he can help him with.

The boy said that he is extremely upset that he missed his school bus and now he won’t be able to attend school for the day. He also said that his mother does not have a car and so cannot drop him to school.

Austin realized that going to school was a very important part of the day for the little boy so he took his mother’s permission and drove the boy to school. On the way, the boy told him that he loves going to school and never wishes to miss even a single day. He also said how thankful he was.

Austin said “When we reached his school, there was a different light in his eyes. He was very happy that he made it to school that day. And I am just glad I could help a good person and made him happy.”
