According to the Fulton County Superior Court Judge, the cop that has been charged with felony murder after shooting Brooks in the back can be freed because he doesn’t pose a threat to the public.

Pleading with Judge Jane Barwick not to issue a bond for the 27-year-old fired cop was Brooks’ wife, Tomika Miller, who insisted that Rolfe already proved “he’s a danger to the community” by shooting her husband and kicking his lifeless body.

“The way he stood over my husband and kicked his body, and I can only imagine what he felt and how scared he was at that time,” Miller said.

“Killing him wasn’t enough. They stood there when something could’ve been done to save him.”

Despite the widow’s emotional plea, Judge Barwick decided to grant Rolfe a bond. Defending her decision, she said that Rolfe “is not a flight risk and I do not believe he is a danger to the community.”

Following the court ruling, the Brooks family’s attorneys, Justin Miller and L. Chris Stewart, expressed their disappointment over the judge’s decision but insisted on pushing “for systemic change within our criminal justice system.”
