An upset police officer was caught on camera talking to an activist and telling him he’s quitting the force because of Black Lives Matter protesters.
In the video taken by one of the protesters, the Seattle cop is seen pulling up his vehicle before addressing the activist and asking him how he’s doing.
After the protester said: “not really, because you’re around,” the police officer responded by telling him he’s got some good news.
“I’m sorry for that. But just don’t worry man, ‘cause guess what? I’m leaving. You guys won. F***ing two months baby and I’m out,” the cop said.
After being asked how he feels about his resignation, the officer added: “I’m feeling great. I’m stepping down from this department. You guys won.”
Following the brief exchange of words, the protester asks the cop whether he is resigning because he is tired of police brutality or because of the civil unrest to which the officer responded by suggesting he’s fed up with having to deal with Black Lives Matter protesters.
After explaining his reasons to the protester, the cop briefly sped up his car before coming to a stop and leaning out of the door to address another protester.
Meanwhile, the man recording the officer tells the crowd: “This guy is resigning because of Black Lives Matter.”
Turning back to the officer, the protester then taunts the cop by cursing him and making pig noises.
“You triggered boy? You triggered. Oink, oink. F*** you and your blue life,” the BLM activist says to the cop.
After the cop suggested they could be friends after he quits the police, the protester angrily added:
“We’ll never be friends. We will never see eye-to-eye. I don’t care if you take that badge off, you’ll never be one of my people.”
The officer’s resignation follows shortly after Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best announced her resignation following the city’s decision to defund the Department and get rid of some one hundred police officers from the force.
