A group of off-duty nurses helped an injured motorcyclist after his bike crashed into a parked truck in one of the residential streets in Fletcher Hills, El Cajon.
A 36-year-old man, later identified as Julian Garcia, was badly injured when his motorcycle struck the large truck.
The group that was off-duty at the time played its part and stepped in to assist the injured.

Garcia was instantly taken to the hospital by the emergency crew but, unfortunately, he couldn’t survive more than a day.
Speaking of the accident, nurse Jennifer Lepari said that a ‘loud boom’ was heard near Valley Mill Road at about 8:30 p.m. on Monday.
She said: “It almost shook the house. It was really, really loud.”
Lepari and her husband Jerome, who’s also a nurse, tried their best to save the wounded.
According to the neighbors present there, Jerome tied the injured’s leg with his belt to stop bleeding and Lepari continuously applied pressure on the bleeding areas while guiding dispatchers.
Speaking of the motorcyclist who was breathing at that time, Lepari said: “With the amount of blood he lost and the time it took [for emergency crews to arrive], even the cops said [the rider] wouldn’t have lasted if [Jerome] hadn’t done that.”
El Cajon police are currently investigating the case and reasons for the crash.
The cause of the unfortunate crash is still unknown. However, according to Lt. Randy Soulardpolice, high speed may remain a factor for that.
Commending the performance of nurses and their act of trying to save someone’s life without any interest, neighbors expressed their appreciation.
Lisa, a spectator who was present there, said: “It was awesome to see the people with that sort of medical experience jump in and not hesitate.”
Revealing that the police also tried their best to save the motorcyclist, Lt. Soulard said that an officer applied another tourniquet to the injured’s leg in an attempt to stop the loss of blood.
But unfortunately, the rider passed away just one day after the incident.
