Have you ever wished to see the world for the highest point? Yes, we do not have the highest points of the world in the middle the city but as high as 103 floors will also do great, wouldn’t it?

From a height that high, the worlds look like a different place completely and the SkyDeck in Chicago does the same. It is a glass ledge that is built on a height of 1,300 feet and for sure, it is not for the fragile heart people.
The ledge is situated in the city of Chicago and it attracts about 1.5 million visitors each year. But no one would have expected something that happened.
It was an incident where people were left stunned. The flooring of the ledge all of sudden cracked up and then fell apart in pieces. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident but people defiantly got terrified.
A woman was standing on the floor with her kids when the incident happened. A man standing there had captured the floor breaking on a video.
The maintenance staff of the ledge said that it was nothing to be worried about and the layer that broke was just a protecting sheet placed there to scratchproof the three layers of glass that are all 1.5 inches thick and are very difficult to break off. They said that the ledge is built to carry weight as much as 5 tons.
The ledge is built on the top of a building of 103 floors. The ledge is extended 4 feet from the building to give a clear and amazing look of the street and the city too.
The protective layer cracked up back in 2014 too but it was replaced. It is again going to be replaced and will be as safe as it was before.
