In the surveillance footage released on Saturday, the nurse appeared to have her head down and seemed to be looking at many objects in her hand when she crossed the intersection.

She did not notice that a backhoe was being driven in reverse by the driver who was also unaware of the woman.

The shovel of the backhoe slammed into Davis’ head and knocked her down. But the rear actor continued onto the intersection, dragging the nurse’s body for several feet.
