New Survey Says Notre Dame’s Leprechaun Mascot Is The Most OFFENSIVE In College Sports


A recent study conducted has gone on to reveal how many consider the Leprechaun mascot from Notre Dame as one of the most offensive in the nation’s history of college sports.

According to local media outlets, the new survey was conducted by the Quality Logo Products that had been listed by Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish Leprechaun. Some even went on to reveal how it was the fourth most offensive mascot in the nation, in regards to the world of football.

Right after the shocking results were shared with the public, one representative claimed from Notre Dame went on to reveal in a public statement how and why a leprechaun was the perfect selection in such an instance.

This along with the other three were deemed to be so culturally inappropriate and insensitive to so many people’s feelings, including Native Americans. The famous green-themed mascot, that comes alongside the school’s popular logo features a leprechaun that is posing with full fighting spirit.

The university which is located in Indiana’s South Bend mentioned how it has gone on to win a total of 13 different college championships.point 121 | 1

“For those who may not be aware, our symbols go a long way when it comes to standing as great celebratory representations of the true genuineness of Irish heritage, located in Notre Dame. This is a heritage that we greatly value, respect, and show our great love and affection for too,” the statement went on to mention.

The university also claims that all the accusations surrounding the mascot hurting the sentiments of other people’s culture are baseless. For this reason, they intend to stay 10 feet away from those who think so and also from all those who support a change of name.
