Heartbreaking Note From A Mother Who Bought A Birthday Cake For Stranger’s Daughter


A mother-of-two received a heartbreaking note from a stranger woman when she went to pick up her daughter’s birthday cake.

Holly Grimet, from Texas, US, was left in tears after the supermarket staff told her that a woman bought her daughter a birthday cake and left a handwritten note for her.

Holly said: “I said, ‘Oh really, did she know me?’”

“[The employee] said, ‘No, but she left a note and we’ve all read it … You may not want to read it in here, you will cry.”

The mother shared the picture of the handwritten note on Facebook that revealed the stranger woman has recently lost her eight-year-old son.

She said her son would be 8 years old today so she was leaving a birthday cake for her daughter as she wanted to remember her son by doing good to others.

The note read: “I hope you enjoy your child’s cake and I hope your day is special.”

“Hold your baby a little tighter today, watch them as they play, be patient with them, kiss their sweet little hand and tell them how much you love them.”

“Our children are such beautiful gifts! I hope your day is beautiful. Much love from me and my angel in heaven to your family.”

Holly said she was left in tears after reading the heartbreaking note and shared the note on Facebook to thank Nehemiah’s mother.

She asked her to get in touch as she wants to hug her.

She said: “I’m just thankful I still have my little girl Eva to hug a little longer tonight in honour of Nehemiah and his mum.”

The post has now gone viral online and left everyone teary-eyed. However, it is still not known who left the heartbreaking note.
