Australia would be relaxing coronavirus lockdown restrictions.
However, adopting social distancing measures would become essential specifically in pubs, cinemas, local sporting ovals, and public transport.
The owners of pubs are discussing methods to minimize social contacts, such as banning communal items like water jugs, plastic laminated menus, and pub buzzers.
According to a leading tourist board, hotel buffets would not be operational and the tourists would have to choose in-room dining services during the initial phase of lockdown restriction easing.
This comes after the federal government, state leaders, and health experts work on plans to reopen sport and get their citizens back to work ahead of the coronavirus restrictions review on 11th May.
The Australian Hotels Association (AHA) noted a new world order must be expected when the pubs restart as the vaccine is yet to be developed.
John Whelan, the NSW chief executive officer of the association said that the pub owners are considering everything people touch like laminated menus, buzzers, and water jars.
According to Peter Collignon, Australian hotels and pubs may not operate normally until September but they may re-open under strict regulations in July.
Sign-out and sign-in procedure to maintain contact tracing, as well as a 50% capacity limit at the venues, are some of the measures being considered by hospitality industry leaders.
Apart from this, restrictions would be applied in buses as well to prevent transmission of the virus, including banning passengers from sitting near one another and standing in the bus.
In cinemas and league clubs, checking the temperature of staff and customers could also become the norm.
ClubsNSW that represents almost 1,200 member venues noted that patron could be tested for the infectious disease on arrival under a plan made to be reviewed by an expert and then submitted to the state government for approval.
Even the community sport games spectators may have to maintain social distance as well as keep a safe distance from one another.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has said health experts would release guidance regarding how to make community and professional sport safe.
