Plastic waste production is turning out to be the biggest problem in the world.
Despite the fact that plastic is not just a polluting element but is a serious threat to the environment and all living beings, we humans are using it terribly.
The ocean of our planet is filled with plastic waste and every few days we get giant fishes washed on the beach, dead with plastic waste stuck in their stomach being the reason for their death.
According to the scientists, if we continue to produce plastic at such a high amount then soon the plastic waste will out weight the amount of marine life in our ocean.
Well, the ocean is not the only place being affected by the same but rivers, forests, soil, and every place else near human population is being affected by it.
To work on the same there are several companies that have reduced their plastic consumption. They have changed the packing material and carry bags to save a large amount of plastic from going to waste and pollute the world.
Following the same steps and with a concern of protecting the wildlife of Britain getting negatively affected, Guinness, Harp Lager, and Smithwick’s beer will no more use the plastic ring carriers. The beer will now be sold in cardboard packaging. And this change will save about 400 tonnes of plastic from going to waste.
Their decision to change the packaging was followed by Corona and Carlsberg who had opted to switch from plastic as well.
The global head of the brand, Mark Sandys said “This move is not only great for the environment but as a brand, we will also grow on the world level. The brand will now get into the light that it was not in before and we are very proud of the step we have taken.”
Well, whatever it may be, at least they are making attempts to save the planet from plastic poisoning.
