In the video obtained by The Sun, the 57-year-old actor can be seen being removed from Lawry’s Prime Rib restaurant on September 13.

Cage was sitting on a sofa sounding incoherent before he was escorted out of the restaurant. According to the news outlet, onlookers also mistook him “for a homeless man.”

One onlooker claimed that Nicolas had been drinking tequila and whiskey before the row.

The video shows him wearing a black T-shirt, leopard print trousers, and no shoes before he wore his sandals and walked out of the restaurant.

He then attempted to walk back into the restaurant but a female staff stood in front of him to block his way.

A source told the news outlet: “We were at that bar at Lawry’s when we noticed what we at first thought was a homeless man completely drunk and being rowdy.

“To our shock it turned to be Nicolas Cage. He was completely smashed and was getting into a bit of a fight with the staff.

“He was in a really bad state and was walking around shoeless. Staff told us he had been downing shots of tequila and 1980 Macallan whiskey.”

This comes three months after the actor’s mother, Joy Vogelsang, passed away at the age of 85.

Joy had been in a hospital for two weeks before she died, Nicolas’ brother Christopher wrote on Facebook.

One person commented: “I hope he finds the help he so desperate appears to need, losing your Mom is awful at any age, but his problems long preceded her death and he has real talent when given a decent movie..he needs people to stop enabling him as well..he needs to be single and sober for awhile until it takes..good luck.”

Another wrote: “God I loved him! Poor guy he looks awful.”

A third added: “The poor guy needs therapy… his mother past away and he needs a safe place to let his spirit breathe.”
