An infant and a baby were among the five people killed in a massive 17-vehicle crash that took place in Austin, Texas on Thursday night.
According to reports from local media outlets, the child and infant were found dead with three adults in the massive pile-up as per reports from KXAN.
Another 12 people were injured including three kids as per the Texas police.
The crash entailed some semi-trucks and it left several people pinned inside their vehicles as per the Austin Travis County EMS.
The incident was labeled incredibly chaotic and it was spread out over a 10th of a mile as per the Austin-Travis County EMS Captain Christa Stedman who spoke to CBS Austin on this matter.
The crash took place at the Interstate 35 just after 11:20 pm. The cops shut down all southbound lanes of the interstate while emergency workers tend to the victims and worked hard to clear this debris. All lanes were shut down for a few hours as the authorities advised against driving in the area as they expected more delays.
