A mother has left the internet divided after revealing that she would much rather prefer canceling Christmas gifts this year because she’s in no mood of spoiling her kids.
But if you think her move would be loved and appreciated across the board, well, think again.
This mom is definitely in a league of her own and she claims that the festive season is all about spreading love and joy and warmth all around. And that means giving loved ones the time, care, attention, and affection you deserve.
Speaking for a recent interview, the mom added how she is keen on giving her two daughters some fond memories instead of showering them with lavish presents.
Moreover, you’d see a raft of mothers taking social media by storm to give this mom a reality check and bash her for thinking this way.
They claim gifts to make loved ones happy and it doesn’t mean they’re spoiling or intend on spoiling them.
The mother who also happens to be a leading TikToker claims life is all about valuing people and their presence. And she really does hope to achieve those same values in her kids.
“I don’t want my girls to think Christmas is all about giving gifts to one another. We do not purchase gifts and I don’t think people’s opinions about the matter are going to change how I feel”- the mom concluded.
Instead of showering gifts, she’s keen on doing things a little differently. And she hopes other parents can take notice and perhaps follow in her footsteps.
“We are watching Santa movies with the young ones and doing all sorts of activities. We are making it special in our own way”- the mother continued.
