Kathryn Arnold, an expert for the Aquaman star’s team, has testified that Heard might be enjoying the same career success as the celebrities mentioned if not for Depp’s legal team’s alleged ‘smear campaign’ against her.

Heard’s career prior to the statement and what happened after the statement, it’s very clear to make that correlation,” Arnold said, referring to the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s attorney Adam Waldman, who accused Heard of orchestrating an ‘abuse hoax.point 234 |

Arnold said that Heard’s career would also have been on an upward trajectory if not for Waldman’s claims.

She told the court that the actress’ “world has been silent in terms of opportunities,” estimating that Hears suffered $50 million in damages because of Waldman’s allegations.

During cross-examination, Depp’s legal team argued that Arnold was comparing oranges to apples by relating Heard’s career trajectory to big celebrities like Zendaya, Gadot, Pine, and Momoa.

Depp’s team also noted that Gadot played a recurring role in the Fast & Furious franchise before she became Wonder Woman in the Justice League.

But Arnold said that Heard’s role as Mera in Aquaman is a ‘star-is-born moment.’

The actress previously said that she fought ‘really hard’ to appear as Mera, adding that her appearance in Aquaman 2 was significantly refused after Depp’s team’s attacks.

“I lost opportunities,” Heard testified. “I got dropped from jobs and campaigns. I fought to keep my job and the biggest movie opportunity I had to date (with) Justice League with the option to (star in) Aquaman. I had to fight really hard to stay in Justice League because that was the time of the divorce.”

Heard reportedly received her $2 million salary but appears in the film for only 10 minutes.
