One young man claims to have successfully catfished his own sister on the popular dating app Tinder.
Sources from local media outlets were quick to mention how the sister really fell for it and now, her brother does feel a little guilty. But he tried to justify the actions by mentioning how it was done in harmless fun.
The brother made the striking confession on an online forum where he searched for answers from netizens about how to go about the situation as his sister was not happy with his actions.
He began by mentioning how he had borrowed his sister’s phone to text one of his own friends. But all of a sudden, he was horrified to see some random man text her. The guy was from Tinder and he didn’t like how much strangers were interacting with her. So, that’s when he decided to come up with the ultimate plan that left her speechless.
The brother mentioned how his sister is just 17 years old in age and hence had no business to be doing something like this.
He added how the dangers linked to online dating platforms are plenty and it’s hard to overcome the risks when weighing them against the benefits.
The older brother says he came up with the ultimate plan to teach his sister a lesson as she was unaware of how random men would catfish younger women and lure them into having a physical relationship with them. After that, they would just walk away.
So the boy goes up to his parents and tells them everything. Clearly, they were not happy and opted to join him in the plan that would involve tricking his sister by catfishing her into assuming he was another date.
He pretended to be some man by the name of Jim and that’s when he set up a meeting at a bar where he and his dad were there.
She arrived on time, super excited to meet this guy that she had fallen so easily for. It was her brother but she had no clue, which is the point as he wished to prove how naive women can be on dating platforms.
Before she knew, her dad goes on over and blasts her by mentioning, “No Jim is coming!”- she was mortified. That’s when her brother pops up and unveils the truth. Clearly, she was not happy but it’s a decision they feel she’ll learn for the rest of her life.
