While the great-great-grandfather happily showed off his ID to prove his age, he has so far not attempted to have his age officially verified by the Guinness World Records.

This means that the official title-holder for the oldest person alive is currently 115-year-old Maria Branyas Morera of San Francisco.

Morera was handed the title following the death of 118-year-old nun Sister André from France.

“He is still going strong,” Andrelino’s granddaughter, Anaina Lemes de Souza, told the local reporters ahead of her grandfather’s birthday.

“This year we are not going to do anything because some other people in the family are having some problems, so we are not in the mood for the party.”

The family celebrated the special occasion with a birthday cake bearing a hilarious inscription that translated to ‘The terror of the INSS [National Institute of Social Security]’ in a reference to the man’s decades-long pension claim.
