The mother of the Annunciation Catholic School shooting victim is said to be a pediatric critical care nurse who rushed to work right after the slaughter occurred.
But little did she realize that it was her own daughter who would be among the victims shot.
12-year-old Sophia Forchas, who is still fighting for her life in the ICU, was one of the 14 victims rushed to the ER after the terrifying mass shooting that began when a transgender female shooter opened fire on innocent students and staff members during their routine prayer in the morning.
Sophia is said to have undergone an emergency surgery on Wednesday and remains in a critical condition as per the GoFundMe page. The victim’s mother is a pediatric critical care nurse at Hennepin Healthcare in downtown Minneapolis, where victims of the shooting were rushed on Wednesday morning.
Forchas’ mom fled to the hospital to assist survivors, but what she did not realize was that her own daughter would be amongst those arriving in an injured state.
The page has so far managed to raise a huge amount of $300k, as Sophia was described as a bright, kind, and full-of-life young individual.
