One drunk woman was left red with embarassment after she ordered an Uber ride to Ukraine because she wanted to ‘help out’ on her night out.
The woman was identified as 34-year-old Leoni Fildes who hails from Manchester and is a mother of two. However, her weird behavior is now making viral rounds on social media as so many people couldn’t believe how she had one too many drinks to end up doing something as bizarre as that.
“I ordered the $5900 Uber ride to Ukraine because, at that time, I thought it was the right thing to do”- explained the mother of two, after admitting that she was certainly under the influence of alcohol at that time.
But thankfully, she was saved from paying the extremely high bill due to having insufficient funds in her account. However, it is now being revealed how the company tried to take the payment from her, on nine separate occasions but failed at doing so.
Leoni explained how she was out with her friends, celebrating a girl’s night out as it was one of her close pal’s birthdays.
“It was a Saturday day. We were partying and had so much fun. And then all of a sudden, we all began talking about the war in Ukraine,”- the mother of two mentioned.
The 34-year-old added how she had a couple of double pink gins, alongside a few shots of sambuca. And that’s when she thought it would be a good idea to go in a taxi to assist in the Ukrainian cause.
Leoni who owns a dog grooming business revealed how she made attempts to order the taxi which came with the hefty price tag but the app kept on telling her that she didn’t have enough funds.
The next morning, she got plenty of calls from the bank, as they thought that her credit card was being used for fraud, adding how Uber made 9 attempts to get money from her account but just couldn’t.
Uber says that the booking couldn’t go through and for that reason, no trips were successfully made in this instance.
