A woman was left stunned after discovering a homeless man living in her car and finding out he had been sleeping in her trunk for several days.
Bethany Coker is a young Canadian lady from Nanaimo, British Columbia, who claims to have found a naked homeless man living in her car’s trunk.
As the diesel mechanic insisted, she wasn’t aware of the man’s presence for three days, whereas he allegedly accompanied her on her trips and errands around the town.
In a video she shared on TikTok, Bethany is seen questioning the man after the police surrounded her car, opened the trunk, and ordered the man to leave.
“I’m the son of the pope,” the man said after the car owner asked him how he managed to get inside her vehicle.
Following the incident, Coker revealed that the man has since been put in a psych ward and that he was officially a missing person before he was found inside her car.
“We’ve been to the grocery store together, we’ve got sushi together, gas together. We’ve been to work twice. Not a single word,” the mechanic said.
Recalling the night the intruder got into her vehicle, she added: “My car was home all night while we were out wheeling til 2am and I started it up this morning not paying attention, only to come back to get in it, and notice the MUD.”
Unsure of how the mud got onto her car seat, Bethany simply cleaned the vehicle while the man was still in the trunk. It wasn’t until three days later she got suspicious after the windows had fogged up due to the man’s breathing.
“At first I thought someone was playing a prank on me, and then when I realized what was happening, I just kept my phone recording because I wasn’t too sure what was going to happen,” Bethany told Global News.
“I didn’t know who this guy was. I didn’t know if he was dangerous. And he’d been in my trunk for three days and didn’t say a single word.”
After the police were called, the homeless man was allegedly removed from the car and taken to a psych ward.
