It looks like Zohran Mamdani has received a seal of approval from former US President Barack Obama.
The mayoral front-runner has gotten a nod of approval from Obama via a recent phone call that might assist in making this socialist more palatable to high-level Democrats in a panicking state.
Details regarding the June phone call were first shared by The New York Times, where it was confirmed that it’s still all a little vague, but the disclosure appears to be linked to a persuading endeavor for Big Apple voters that Mamdani isn’t a fringe candidate.
‘It just gives the sense that President Obama’s world is comfortable with his candidacy. It also normalizes him as he’s got close ties now with someone that’s served in the White House’- the post read.
‘It would assist with the perception of some individuals that Mamdani is too radical, but hopefully that can change with Obama’s backing and support,’- another insider shared in detail.
‘I leave the decision of endorsements to the president’- Mamdani shared in his recent speech at the Bronx. He refused to give more details about the discussion with Obama, but did reveal that they touched base on the significance of the moment where politics is characterized by a language of darkness.
