The 57 year old host found himself in the middle of a political storm after he made some questionable and controversial remarks regarding the death of right wing activist Charlie Kirk.
During his September monologue linked to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host addressed the arrest of Tyler Robinson, who was accused of fatally shooting Kirk during a campus event at Utah Valley University.
Kimmel’s comment, ‘The MAGA Gang is desperately trying to characterize the kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of their own,” really spread like wildfire and sparked outrage online.
He then doubled down a few days later, mentioning how many MAGA land are working hard to capitalize more on the murder of Charlie Kirk.
This controversy surrounding Kimmel’s remarks was not the very first time that the comedian found himself in deep water over his political stance. Earlier this year, while he hosted the 2024 Academy Awards, he decided to read out loud a scathing post from the POTUS who ended up mocking the host’s performance and the actual awards show itself.
