Legendary actor Gene Hackman and his wife were found dead at their residence yesterday with their pet dog.

The mystery deepens in terms of what exactly happened to the couple that led to this tragic event.

Their daughter did share with the press at the start that she did fear that they may have died from possible carbon monoxide poisoning, but the firefighters have confirmed that this was not the case and there was no possible gas leak from anywhere.

While the post-mortem results might take weeks, authorities are now putting foul play as one of the greatest suspicions.

But what is even more tragic is how they were most likely dead for several days or possibly even for weeks, by the time they were found by maintenance workers who immediately called 911 for assistance.

‘It’s very difficult to put this entire timeline together even with assistance from the office of the medical investigator’- the sheriff explained.

Just looking at the body and other evidence found nearby, it appears that they were dead for a while as they were bloated and unrecognizable, the source continued to mention.
