Actor George Clooney and his wife Amal Clooney are known to be couple goals in the world of Hollywood but new revelations about the duo’s relationship are now taking center stage.
Many do consider the couple to be their idea but did you know that they share a 17-year age gap? And we agree that age is just a number and love is way more than just that, George is making some interesting statements on how it really does affect their bond.
We’ve seen the handsome actor be unlucky in love once with his previous marriage to his ex-wife Talia Balsam. But his bond with Lebanese-British Barrister Amal is just perfect at first glance.
George is believed to have stayed single for a while after his first divorce and waited for the perfect one. And that came in the form of Amal who was a beautiful and smart barrister. The couple met in July of 2013 and despite the huge age difference, they’re madly in love and really hit things off to a great start.
The couple was introduced through a mutual friend over a nice dinner and soon, one thing led to another. They’re followed by paparazzi all of the time but they still manage to keep their personal life undercover.
Speaking to E News!, the actor shed light on how people are so worried about the age gap between them. “They always assumed that it would make things complicated. But it’s’ really the opposite!”- he explained.
“The long wait after my divorce gave me a lot of time to mature. And it makes me ideal for someone like her”- he continued.
The actor says that they’ll agree on most things and won’t argue. In fact, they’ll never argue. “At 61, I look at things so much more differently!”- he adds.
In fact, the difference in age between them actually turns out to be helpful for them. It helps to create a helpful bond and a healthy relationship and he’s ever so grateful for that.
