Whoopi Goldberg is facing mega backlash after some people were seen making some remarks about the US and Iran this week.
On Wednesday morning, during the latest episode of The View, Goldberg mentioned how she tried long and hard to claim that life in America is just as bad as it is in Iran during the heated clash with her co-host.
The argument started just as this panel, which also included co-hosts such as Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines, debated the right course of action that America should take as the conflict between both sides continues to peak in the Middle East.
It was then that Goldberg pushed back and claimed that America was no better than Iran when it came to the nation’s treatment of gay folks and black people.
Griffin fired back and insisted that the modern-day American nation was nothing close to Iran and that anyone making such claims was more delusional than anything else.
‘The year 2025 in America is nothing like what is happening in Tehran, you can not even walk there with such an outfit on’- she was seen arguing while referencing the capital of Iran.
‘Not if you happen to be black’- Goldberg retorted after Griffin repeated her point that it’s different to live in the US in 2025 versus Iran.
