Country singer Drake White and his wife, Alex, have confirmed the death of their baby daughter.
The couple shared the tragic news on Sunday and mentioned how little Della Elizabeth White had passed away after being born at 29 weeks of gestation.
‘On Sunday, we lost our precious daughter. We are so thankful for the little moments that we got to spend with her’- the couple captioned in a joint post that was shared through Instagram.
The couple can be seen in the clip cradling their baby girl. They continued: ‘The Lord has been so near and close to us during this difficult time. He has held us up and sustained us through it all’- it continued.
‘We are so heartbroken and soul tired, but we do know that we will be getting through this difficult time soon with strength, peace, joy!’
The couple shared how their daughter had been born at 8:52 am on August 31, before she peacefully passed away at 9:12 am. She weighed 3 pounds, 3.5 oz, and measured 13.5 inches when she was born. Drake and Alex, whose rep confirmed exclusively to PEOPLE in May that they were expecting their second child together after a fertility struggle, are also parents to a son named William Hawk, who is 2.5 years old.
