Taking care of children in today’s day and age seems to be getting tougher with the passing of time and this next story is proof of just that.

One father is revealing his dilemma after his mother-in-law did the unthinkable. Think along the lines of offering a child whiskey because she felt it was healthy.

The young child was believed to have been suffering from intense teething pains. From fever to extreme uneasiness, it was just so hard for the parents to see.

Therefore, the mother-in-law claims she felt she had the best solution in store. And that comprised of providing the child with whiskey, which she says is an age-old remedy for such conditions. “It’s so tragic and annoying. And I cannot believe that she would go to that extent!”- the boy’s dad has gone on to add.

The father says that he and his wife happened to be away at the time when that incident arose. The mother-in-law was babysitting but little did he know that leaving his child with her was the biggest mistake of his life.

“I called her out and demanded an explanation. She laughed and said I shouldn’t be worrying and how this is supposed to be healthy for the six-month-old child!”- he explained.

The child’s mother was seen making her way to the online social media platform Reddit and speaking on the matter in detail. She further added how this sort of action made her husband question her mom’s sanity because it was striking how anyone would ever find an alcoholic beverage to be comforting and soothing for a child.

As a result of the mother-in-law’s actions, the father says he cannot leave the child alone with the mother and the grandmother. He’s become super paranoid and even opted to take days off from work to see how his child is being looked after.
