Disneyland Paris workers were reportedly mortified after finding a giant wedding that they were hosting between a man and a 9-year-old girl.
According to reports from local media outlets, the groom and the child’s bride’s mom were arrested in what is being called a sick $150,000 stunt on social media.
The French amusement park was hired early Saturday for this ceremony in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle.
There was no warning provided to them that the bride was a minor or a child, as shared by the French media outlet Le Parisien.
There were nearly 300 guests and a string quartet, which arrived at 5 am before the park was open for regular tourists.
The employees were said to be mortified only when they saw how young the bride was, as shared by BFMTV. The young, scared, and confused girl was said to be wearing a wedding dress and 5-inch heels that were taped to her feet.
They similarly ended up arresting the 41-year-old mom of the 9-year-old, both of whom had arrived in Paris from Ukraine, two days before that sick ceremony arose.
Police similarly shared two Latvian nationals, who may have played a role in this ordeal of the bride’s sister and another 55-year-old who was hired to act as her father, as shared by BFMTV.
