Russia’s President Vladimir Putin unleashed a missile strike that was intended to sink a giant cargo ship carrying weapons for Ukraine from the UK.
The attack used two Iskander-M Ballistic missiles that targeted the Panama-flagged container ship that the Swiss reportedly owned.
The news arose as soon as the vessel reached Odesa after making a brief stop in Turkey.
The incident also injured two port workers who were wounded in this strike that damaged infrastructure as per reports from Ukraine.
The incident occurred moments after UK’s prime minister Sir Keir Starmer held talks with Zelensky and welcomed him with open arms into the country after his historic Oval Office spat with Trump and Vance.
Russia’s telegram channel Talip V shared that the vessel was loaded with drones and weaponry, which was collected from a NATO base inside Turkey, before it was transported to Odesa in Ukraine.
Upon arrival at the Port, the ship was met with military resistance including two missiles that struck it at 18:00, wounding two people on board that were attended to immediately. Experts claim the terror of Putin continues as Ukraine tries to get more military support to defend against the Russian invasion of its nation.
