‘Friends’ And Warner Bros Pay Heartbreaking Tribute To Matthew Perry After He Was Found Dead At The Age Of 54


After heartbreaking reports that Matthew Perry, who played Chandler Bing on the ‘90s sitcom Friends, was found dead at his home in LA, the show paid a heartfelt tribute to him.

The official Friends and Warner Bros. accounts took to Instagram and wrote: “We are devastated to learn of Matthew Perry’s passing. He was a true gift to us all. Our heart goes out to his family, loved ones, and all of his fans.”

Before his big break came when he landed the role of Chandler Bing, he appeared on Growing Pains and Boys Will Be Boys in the ‘80s.

The NBC sitcom premiered in 1994 and went on for ten seasons. Cast members remained in touch over the years and reunited again in 2021 for a reunion special on HBO.

During the emotional reunion, Perry became emotional while speaking with his co-stars.

“The best way that I can describe it is after the show was over, at a party or any kind of social gathering, if one of us bumped into each other, that was it,” he expressed.

“That was the end of the night. You just sat with the person all night long and that was it.”

He went on: “You apologized to the people you were with, but they had to understand you had met somebody special to you and you were going to talk to that person for the rest of the night. And that’s the way it worked.”

As his costars started to tear up, Perry concluded: “It’s certainly the way it worked with all of us. It’s just the way it is.”

According to reports, the actor was found dead in a hot tub at his home in Los Angeles. There was no sign of foul play and no drugs were discovered at the scene.
