A woman ended up passing away after riding the Haunted Mansion attraction at Disneyland, cops have confirmed.
The incident took place on Monday at the Anaheim theme park in California. Matt Sutter of the Anaheim Police Department shared with People Magazine how rescue and emergency services rushed to Disneyland Resort for an unresponsive woman in her 60s who had just finished riding the Haunted Mansion Attraction, and Disneyland Security personnel provided CPR until paramedics arrived.
The reps added that the woman was later transported to the local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Sutter shared more on the matter and how it seemed to be an unfortunate event that arose at the wrong place and at the wrong time.
There were no indications of any sort of operating issues with the attraction, which reopened soon after that.
An official cause of death has yet to be released yet far but Sutter mentioned that the Orange County Sheriff’s Coroner would be sharing that later on. A rep for Disneyland confirmed to PEOPLE magazine that a guest required medical assistance inside the park and was soon transported to a local hospital.
