At least two people were killed after a gunman opened fire near Las Vegas’ famous Bellagio Fountains following what the cops called a conflict over social media.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police explained how the officers responded to the shooting on the 3600 block of S. Las Vegas Boulevard at 10:40 pm local time last night.
They were quick to inform the public that it did not take place inside a casino.
Officers shared how two people were found on the ground, calling for help, and covered in gunshots. They were soon pronounced dead at the scene by the medical personnel.
The force also shared how they believe the suspect and victims knew each other, and had previously engaged in conflict over social media before the shooting arose.
At the time, they believed that this was an isolated incident, and a possible suspect was identified.
The footage from the attack shows a man getting into a small verbal altercation with a woman in front of the Balloon Sign outside the Paris Las Vegas, which sat right across the road from the Bellagio Fountains. After several seconds, he pulled out the gun and started to fire at least seven times.
The woman screamed, ‘Are you f****ng kidding me”- and ran for cover, the witness shared.
