The American VP urged pregnant women to follow the instructions provided by their doctors on Wednesday and also stick to the advice given to them. This had to do with deciding whether or not to take the drug.

‘What I took from the president’s announcement and also from the CDC’s recommendations here is that we just need to be very careful,’- Vance expressed during a recent NewsNation interview.

‘We know that some of these medications have serious side effects. We know that even despite those side effects, sometimes they are necessary. So my guidance to pregnant women would be very simple, and that is to follow what your doctor says,’ he continued.

Trump was seen cautioning expectant mothers against taking Tylenol, which lists down acetaminophen as an active ingredient, on Monday. He cited unverified reports suggesting how the painkiller might potentially cause autism in children.

The remarks were made at a White House press conference, where he was joined by Robert F. Kennedy Jr, who is the Secretary of Health and Human Services, as reported by Mirror US. Trump urged pregnant women to fight like hell and avoid taking this drug, which is one of the few options for fever or pain relief, unless medically necessary.
