Vice President JD Vance was heckled during his last visit to the site of last week’s deadly school shooting in Minneapolis to meet with the victims’ families.
Dozens of protesters were seen lining up the streets near the Annunciation Catholic Church, which is the site where, a week ago, suspect Westman shot dead an eight-year-old child and a 10-year-old, leaving 21 others injured as school kids celebrated Mass.
Upon arriving at the Church alongside Second Lady Usher Vance, the VP, a Catholic convert, was greeted by a huge group of parents and residents brandishing signs calling for bans on assault weapons and placing children’s lives over guns.
‘Protect our kids’- one woman was heard yelling from a distance after seeing a video posted on X. Another mentioned that he was a coward and needed to do so much better. A third woman shouted before his secret service rushed to block the view of the public as he made an entrance into the school.
Another video was shared by Fox 9 that showed a man with a speaker phone chanting that the National Rifle Association has got to go, while waving rainbox colored paper fans.
The crowd, some of whom were holding up signs stating: ‘hate won’t make America Great,’ erupted into loud screams and roars as Vance’s motorcade went by and sped past them.
