Shakira is speaking about how she always felt that long relationships were her thing and that includes the special bond she once shared with Gerard Pique.
The singing sensation mentioned for the first time more details about how the pair were so close until one day, she had to take a stand for herself, and her family too.
Shakira added how life is all about making the most of the special relationships you have and the fact that Gerard was in her life and was an amazing father to her children was certainly something she was blessed with.
But this was also one bond that she could never see breaking, adding how she believes in death do us part sayings.
Speaking for the latest cover story of Billboard magazine, the singer who hails from Columbia got awfully emotional. She detailed further how it was never meant to be, despite her putting her best foot forward. And no matter how much time may evolve, the wound always remains fresher than ever.
“My biggest priority in life was my home, my kids, and my family. I believed in love and being with one person for the rest of my life. But it didn’t work out, I did try!”- the starlet continued.
She believed in dreams and had plenty for herself and her kids. Moreover, she added in the publication how her parents were with her for so many years and each day was so special. She adored seeing the loving bond that they shared and hoped that one day, she’d be able to do the same.
But it did not work out to be that way for her.
“I loved seeing the affection and feelings they had for each other on a daily basis. The love was just as strong as we witnessed in the past”- she added but sadly not all cases are the same.
