The New York Young Republicans Club is pushing to get socialist Zohran Mamdani disqualified from the mayoral election.
They are accusing the Democratic candidate of providing both aid and comfort to the enemies inside the US, as shared by The Post.
The 15-page NYYRC memo featured two potential supporters inside Washington, DC, New York Rep Claudia Tenney and Indiana Rep Marlin Stutzman. They are both Republicans who would have to put out the motion for a vote.
There’s no question that the Mamadani approach is aiding and comforting known terrorists and enemies of the US, they mentioned. At the same time, they’ve called for immediate disqualification under the Disqualification Clause, the memo continued.
The rarely used 14th Amendment provision was first written to stop Confederates from re-entering public office after the Civil War.
It allowed Congress to get rid of anyone who tried to engage in insurrection or rebellion, or those who gave aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. Furthermore, it claims that the Queens state Assemblyman is supporting gangs such as MS-13 through calls for non-cooperation with ICE and support of enemy ideologies.
