A brave Ukrainian woman was caught on camera singing the national anthem while cleaning her wrecked home after an explosion.
Following Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, civilians, including women and children, are not being from the devastating explosions and other horrifying effects of the war despite the Russian leader’s promise that they are only after military targets.
According to the latest reports, at least 33 civilian areas were bombed by Russia in the 24 hours after a full-blown assault on the country and its independence was launched.
Among the affected populated areas is also the apartment complex near Kyiv where Oksana Gulenko lives alongside her daughter and dozens of former Soviet Union servicemen.
As the woman, who works as a paramedic, explained, her father was awarded the apartment she is staying at in recognition of his service in Afghanistan back in the 1980s.
Now, that same apartment was wrecked by a massive explosion that woke Oksana up in the middle of the night.
“I was sleeping, there was a sharp explosion and I was thrown 3 meters from the bedroom into the corridor. I was scared, I started crawling on the floor,” she recalled.
While Oksana and her daughter, Katya, were looking forward to celebrating the birthday of their successful patisserie business today, they were instead forced to clean their apartment after the blast crushed the windows and sent glass shards flying all over the apartment.
In a tear-jerking video taken by Oksana, Katya was seen removing glass shards from the apartment while singing Ukraine’s national anthem and fighting back tears.
“How we can live through it in our time? What should we think. Putin should be burnt in hell along with his whole family,” Gulenko said in the heartbreaking video.
