The chilling moment a Ukrainian man picked up an anti-tank mine before slowly taking it off the road was caught on camera.
From joining the army with no military experience to stopping Russian tanks using nothing but their bodies, the people of Ukraine have been proving their bravery over and over again while the world watches on as the country is facing Putin’s forces.
Now, a new heart-stopping video of a man carrying an anti-tank mine with his bare hands has emerged.
In the video, the civilian, who is dressed in jeans and a dark jacket, is seen smoking a cigarette while picking up a land mine with his hands.
The man then slowly carries the explosives off the road and away from a nearby bridge. Eventually, the man dropped the mine off in a wooded area away from the traffic.
After the clip appeared on social media, people from around the world praised the man for his “heroic” actions as they suggested he might have saved many lives thanks to his courage.
“Brave doesn’t even describe what this guy is doing, he’s moving an unexploded land mine away from houses into a wooded area,” someone wrote.
“Only a Ukrainian would pick up a land mine in jeans and a jacket with a cigarette in his mouth and calmly walk it away from the bridge,” another said.
The third wrote: “Southern Ukraine. You can be cool, but you’ll never be ‘I found this land mine on the road and decided to bring it to the nearby forest’ cool.”
The clip comes shortly after a group of some one hundred unarmed residents in the town of Koryukivka blocked the road to slow down a convoy of Russian tanks.
