Hollywood actor Kevin Costner has reportedly won the ugly battle linked to child support payments that arose against his estranged wife Christine Baumgartner.
The star’s wife of 18 years filed for divorce and assumed she would be getting plenty of cash in return for child support but that really ended up backfiring as a new settlement with the court has been reached.
Kevin is believed to have scored a huge victory in this regard with his estranged wife after the judge in Santa Barbara slashed the payments designated for child support to just $63k a month. And as you can imagine, that’s less than half of the demands that Christine was making.
The news comes just one day after we heard Christine speak about how luxury runs in her children’s genes and therefore, they’re not used to leading a life that’s anything less than pure extravagance and luxury. But little did she realize that no matter what excuses she was making, nothing would be going in her direction.
Reports spoke about how the starting demand by Christine was $161k but she was getting just $129k. That really did make her unhappy and she expressed her sheer dismay online.
But the new judgment that was made on Friday had left her and her legal team red in the face as it just didn’t go down well. The judge mentioned how the new figure for child support payments was more than enough and called it reasonable for handling the kids when living with their mom.
Both sides battled it out in the courtroom and Costner came out victorious in the end. But the star failed to call it a win for him, adding how it was just a sad and bruising battle to go through for any broken family.
“There are no winners here. This is a bruising battle. And that’s what I’d like to leave it at!”- he explained.
